Are you are still wondering whether Social Media is a revolution or a just a passing craze? This video by Erik Qualman is brilliant and will surprise you, maybe even shock you!
The Social Media revolution has changed the dynamics of online interaction forever and has impacted our offline activities in multiple ways as well, and will continue to evolve.
The numbers of people connected and interconnected are staggering and are continually increasing to amaze us all. The lightening speed with which ideas and thoughts are now spread from one person to another over Social Media platforms, over mobile devices, time zones, and without any of the traditional gatekeepers, has opened vast new opportunities for marketers online and internationally.
Welcome to the Social Media Evolution!
Love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Tina, I love the video and also the concept was awesome. I heard that social media has a powerful effect to promote your business but I haven’t try it already. Looking forward to put it in my site. Thanks for the great article.
Thanks!

I’m planning of adding Facebook, Twitter and RSS to my website – I think it’s imperative to do so, especially if you are developing an online business and the young crowds are part of your target. Personally I find that social networks are useful in daily interaction – especially if you have friends or family abroad like I do – and it really is addictive like Vance said.
However, I think one should not overdo it and enjoy offline as much as online – I don’t see the point of Tweeting every minute/hour or so. I wonder if these people can spend at least 2-3 hour without feeling the urge to tweet or update their Facebook status. I think we should use the social networks wisely, in productive ways and not overexpose our lives.
Tina, is there any way you can be contacted via an email or so? I would like to get in touch with you regarding social media strategies for business use. (I can be contacted via the email I introduced to leave this post). Thank you and keep up the good work
Hi there,
I love the concept and interaction i am able to get with social media. This is here to stay, and not only that but it is going to revolutionise the complete internet as we know it..
Many people (including myself) are addicted to the social media sites and could not be without them now! For others it may be the only way to connect and interact with people.
Bring it on!!
Loved the video Tina! Some amazing statistics. I have 2 teenagers, and both Facebook many times per day. I use FB, LinkedIn and even Twitter, but I’m struggling with an ROI, but I trust it will come.
Thanks,
Mike

The ROI on social media is that your business will still EXIST in 5 years? It’s those kind of inflammatory melodramatic statements that cause business to screw up social interactions in the first place… It really easy to put together a bunch of stats showing how incredible the platforms are (and they ARE incredible) – but it needs a far more mature approach to use the medium correctly, especially considering the fact that we have no idea what the long term consequences are.
