logo Free Mind Mapping Online in Real time

It’s mind-blowing – we can brainstorm online in real-time and collaborate whilst sitting on different continents! We can share this mind mapping software on our screens and see each others additions in seconds.

I’ve just discovered the power of MindMeister. And the beauty of being able to get all our thoughts down and organized in one document as we collaborate. Give it try and let me know if it helped you get even more excited about “seeing” your project mapped out in do-able steps?

The free version of MindMeister gives you three mind maps (though I’m already considering signing up for the Premium Edition).

You can export your mind map as a PDF plus many other options. And there are some incredible mind maps to browse, like this one by Robin Good. His map has received over half a million views! If you enjoy sharing your mapping magic then a grand way to gain extra visibility. With the upgrade to the Premium Edition the embedded mind maps can be enabled to live updating.

There are many cool features, you can explore too. The best benefit for my money is collaborating in real-time online. They even have apps for your iPhone and iPad!

All by women for women! WooHoo! An amazing initiative by my colleague Krishna De to celebrate 100 years of International Women’s Day. Krishna asked us share in a tweet (140 characters) our best business advice.

My vision is to invite and collate the tips and advice from women in business across the globe and this will then be produced into a document that will be freely available for people to access on the 8 March 2011. I am hoping we can achieve this together and leave a meaningful document for women (our daughters, nieces, grand daughters) to use to inspire them in their business careers in the years ahead. ” wrote Krishna.

Happy International Women’s Day to all my fab female friends! Enjoy and pass forward, retweet, like, dig!

Thanks Krishna for pulling together this incredible collaboration across continents.

P.S. Check out #57!

How to Make the Best Use of this Free Space

1. Do this first – upload your full-size profile picture – 540 pixels high and 180 pixels wide. Grab your designer or Photoshop friend! Aviary is a free online photo editor you can use to create your vertical banner if you are using a single photograph.

consistencykey Consistency is Key on Social Media PlatformsMake it part of your daily routine and – most importantly – part of your daily marketing activities to tweet and update your Facebook fan page and profile status.

Why is this important?

You are creating instant visibility for yourself. Your updates go out – on Twitter to the Twitter stream of all following you and on Facebook to your news feed and will be seen by your friends or fans respectively.

Your new daily routine will also give you the opportunity to share your knowledge (link to your blog post) or link to useful information (on someone else’s blog). This will build your relationships and position you as a valuable resource or an authority in your field. Read More→
