Keep to your core offering. Be helpful. Provide solutions. Share your good stuff and others. Be available for your fans and respond to their comments. Invite them to ask you questions. <h3>Your first strategic step towards mastering the Social Media   sites to market your service or product online is to decide   what you want to achieve. First ask yourself:</h3>
<ul>
<li> What result do I want?</li>
<li> When will I accomplish this by?</li>
<li> How many minutes will I allocate to this each day?</li>
</ul>
<p>Be as specific as possible so your results are measurable. Why   am I asking you to do this? So you don’t fall into the time   wasting trap and you know where you are going. Entrepreneurs   can’t afford to waste their time. You know how easy it is to   become distracted on the internet so begin with the clear   intention of using your time to achieve a specific result.</p>
<h3><span style="background-color: #fff9b6;">Tip: As you kick off, work on one project at a time to avoid   becoming overwhelmed and keep yourself   sharply focused.</span></h3>
<p>You want to increase the traffic to your blogsite by how much?   (Check your stats now so you can measure your results later.)   Or is your plan to have one thousand fans on your Facebook fan   page at the end of eight weeks?<span id="more-25"></span></p>
<p>Be very clear where you want to take your new contacts:</p>
<ul>
<li>Is it   to your opt-in offer on your website?</li>
<li>Is it to your Facebook   fan page?</li>
</ul>
<p>Remember this is a networking marketing activity.   Selling does not work on Social platforms. Your purpose is to   connect and engage with your existing clients and business   build with new prospects so they get to know, like and trust   you.  This is your opportunity to demonstrate that you have the   expertise to solve their biggest problem. A savvy entrepreneur   keeps that in mind when deciding where you want to direct your   new friend or fan. Offer your new prospect something they will   value. The main reason people are online is because they are   looking for information.</p>
